Stanley Justin Rott is the ex-husband of Christine Paolilla, who is convicted of mass murder in the Clear Lake Murders case, in which she shot and killed 4 people on July 18, 2003, in Clear Lake City, Texas. She was convicted of four counts of capital murder in 2008 and was sentenced to life in prison. She was not given the death penalty because she was a juvenile offender at the time of the murders. Paolilla was 17 years old when she committed the murders. Presently she is serving a life sentence at the Mountain View Unit in Gatesville, Texas. At the time of the killings on July 18, 2003, Stanley’s wife Paolilla was accompanied by her then-boyfriend Christopher Snider. They went to her friend Tiffany Rowell’s home in Clear Lake City. They were joined by Rachael Koloroutis, Tiffany’s boyfriend Marcus Precella, and Marcus’s cousin Adelbert Sanchez. As Paolilla confessed, she and Snider had planned to steal the drugs from Tiffany’s home. But the heated argument between Snider and Precella led to the shootings of Rowell, Koloroutis, Precella, and Sanchez.
She was apprehended and arrested after 3 years of murders in July 2016. Among the 4 people she killed, 2 were her friends. Snider committed suicide in July 2006 before being arrested by police.
