Jennifer Tracy-Duplass is the wife of an American filmmaker, screenwriter, actor, and author Jay Duplass. Jennifer came to the limelight after getting married to Jay Duplass in 2001, who is better known for his appearances in films and TV series. Jay’s major film works include The Puffy Chair (2005), Cyrus (2010), and Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2011). He acted in the lead role in the Amazon Video comedy-drama series Transparent from 2014 to 2019. The HBO comedy-drama series Togetherness (2015–16) and the HBO anthology series Room 104 (2017–2020) were co-created by Jay and his Brother mark. He co-owns Duplass Brothers Productions alongside his brother Mark Duplass, who is also a filmmaker and producer. Most of his films are produced and directed in collaboration with his younger brother.

Jennifer’s husband was born Lawrence Jay Duplass on March 7, 1973, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Cynthia and Lawrence Duplass. He attended Jesuit High School and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master’s in Fine Arts in film. Born and brought up in a Christian family, he is of French Cajun, Italian, Ashkenazi Jewish, and German ethnicity. Jennifer graduated in 1993 and received a master’s in Social Work from S. Mary’s University. Jennifer is married to Jay since 2001 after dating for a long time. She has two children with Jay.

Jennifer Tracy-Duplass’s Career 

Jennifer‘s husband Jay and his brother Mark Duplass became interested in films when they watched Raising Arizona. Jay mentioned the film in an interview with Robert K. Elder, which inspired him and his brother to make a career in films. They founded the film and television production company Duplass Brothers Productions in 1996. In 2015, their TV production arm Duplass Brothers Television signed a two-year overall deal with HBO.

Moving ahead in his acting career, he starred with Jeffrey Tambor, Gaby Hoffmann, Amy Landecker, and Judith Light in the Amazon Prime Original Comedy-Drama Series Transparent as Josh Pfefferman in the Amazon Prime Original Comedy-Drama Series Transparent in 2014. Well received by the audience and critics, the series received 11 Primetime Emmy nominations. It was nominated for Best Comedy Series and Best Actor in a Comedy Series for Jeffrey Tambor. For the second season of the show, Jay was nominated for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
